What's included in a consultation?
Discovery Call – 20 minutes - No cost, No obligation.
You will have the opportunity to discuss your health goals and concerns in confidence and ask me any questions about what to expect in a consultation.
I can then tell you more about how nutrition can support your mental and physical well-being.

Consultations.
I can adapt your appointment to suit your requirements; I am happy to provide a very informal online environment and encourage my clients to be as comfortable as possible. Feel free to move, get refreshments and be yourself.
After the end of your consultation, you will receive a written plan with notes and recommendations and supporting fact sheets, recipes and trackers. Each plan provides a personalised, evidence-based approach to nutrition for optimal health and wellbeing.
I often consult with other professionals, including fellow nutrition experts, pharmacy and medication professionals.
Any details shared are following permission from my clients, no personal details are included.

Initial Appointments.
Prior to the appointment, you will be sent online forms to complete, including a comprehensive course history.
This is an easy to access, secure form, which requires limited writing, mostly tick boxes.
Don’t worry if you cannot complete this form before your appointment; we can cover any gaps during your appointment.
The online consultation will last between 60 and 90 minutes.
During the appointment, I will ask questions I need to build on your comprehensive case history.
We will explore your symptoms in detail and then focus on each body system, family and past medical history, diet and lifestyle habits, and health goals.

Your Personal Nutrition and Lifestyle Plan.
I will produce a highly personalised protocol for you to follow, based on your goals and considering your biochemical individuality and the root causes of any health concerns.
We will discuss your plan in detail to make sure you are happy with my suggestions and recommendations, and together, we will set realistic targets to ensure that long-term, manageable changes are incorporated into your normal routine.

Follow-Up Appointments.
We will have the opportunity to review and assess your progress, and you will be able to provide your feedback. We will then make any necessary adjustments to your plan, and I will make further recommendations.
The goal is to empower you with the tools to move forward and make the changes needed to help you flourish.

Genetics and Neurodiversity
Our understanding of genetics is changing how we approach healthcare. Genetic testing allows us to examine our DNA in detail, revealing how it affects our health and well-being.
Genetic variations, known as Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), can impact functions such as nutrient processing, hormone production, and overall health. These variations give us unique biological strengths and weaknesses. It's important to consider how our environment, including our lifestyle and exposure, interacts with our genetic makeup.
Nutrigenomics examines how our diet and lifestyle influence our genetic potential. While we can't change our genes, we can make choices to better align with our genetic makeup.
We offer a unique report to help interpret and use the data effectively.
• Neurotransmitter imbalance: Often involves imbalances in dopamine and noradrenaline.
• Genetic insights: Variants in the DRD4 and SLC6A3 genes have been implicated in ADHD, affecting dopamine transport and receptor activity.
• Understanding these genetic influences can help tailor a plan that addresses your specific neurotransmitter systems.
Nervous System Report
The nervous system helps messages travel around the body and brain, so we can react to what's around us. Neurotransmitters are molecules that carry signals between nerve cells. Some neurotransmitters make it more likely that a nerve cell will send a signal, while others make it less likely. These neurotransmitters need to stay balanced so that we can interact effectively with our surroundings.
An imbalance of neurotransmitters can cause mood swings, depression, hyperactivity, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, addictive tendencies, trouble controlling movement, anger, aggression, and restlessness.
